Melania Speaks on the Trump Assassination Attempt: ‘We Need to Uncover the Truth’
Melania Trump released a video that went viral on X as she questioned the circumstances surrounding the assassination attempt against her husband, Donald Trump.
“The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible, distressing experience. Now, the silence around it feels heavy,” the former first lady says.

“I can’t help but wonder why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech. There is definitely more to the story, and we need to uncover the truth,” she concludes.
The day after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Melania came out with her initial statement to share her gratitude for those who put themselves at risk for his life. She also gave a heartfelt message to Corey Comperatore’s family after he was tragically killed by the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks.

“A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion – his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration,” the former first lady wrote.
“Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love. Our personal, structural, and life commitment – until death – is at serious risk. Political concepts are simple when compared to us, human beings.”
She further discussed the need to remember that we all “come from families with the passion to fight for a better life together, while we are here, in this earthly realm.”
