‘The Chosen’ Reveals Epic Season 5 Sneak Peek
“The Chosen” just keeps getting more intense as we get closer to the climax of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
In a new livestream, “The Chosen” gave a heart-rendering sneak peek of season 5 where Judas and Jesus discuss Judas’ expectations of what Jesus should do next to take up His position as the leader and authority as the Messiah.

The scene is set up with Judas and Jesus in the middle of a courtyard where Judas provides Jesus with his ideas of what should happen next.
“So, we’ve arrived at a critical moment,” Judas says. “All of Israel has gathered in one place ready to crown You king.”
This points to the belief of many Jewish people during Jesus’ time who thought that the Messiah would become a wonderful military leader against the Romans. However, we know that Jesus came to set us free from something even greater the natural powers of this world; He came to break the grip of the bondage of sin.
In the scene, Jesus asks Judas a poignant and powerful question.
“If I don’t do whatever big thing you’ve imagined I should do at this time, will you still believe?“
This statement hits right at the heart for all who call themselves Christians: Will we continue to follow Jesus when we don’t get exactly as we wanted when we wanted it?
We know that Judas betrayed Jesus in Scripture, and this scene is the setup for this treachery. With season 5 focused on Holy Week, we can be sure to see many more of these pivotal moments occur in the next season of “The Chosen.”
Season five will be released in theaters on March 27, 2025.
