2025: The Year to Battle and Build
What does the Lord want us to know about the year 2025?
In a new prophetic message, Katie Souza shared what she believes God showed her that the church should know about this new year.
“The Lord has told me it’s a year of battle,” Souza says. “But it’s also a year of building. We are going to be battling actually while we are building.”

Souza went to the story of Nehemiah where the people of Israel have returned to the land after captivity in Babylon, and are working on rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem.
“…now they are rebuilding the wall, and what’s happened is they’re getting so much attack from the enemy that Nehemiah 4:17 says this: ‘Those who built the wall and those who bore burdens loaded themselves so that everyone worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other hand,'” says Souza.
“The enemy is on the [prowl]. He is going to be extremely aggressive in this year to attack, especially attack and create warfare and strife and division and sickness and disease and lack and poverty in every area he can because he doesn’t want you to build. He wants to stop you from rebuilding your city, from building your projects and your visions, and he wants to stop you from building a defensive wall around you and your family and your businesses and your churches and your ministries and your outreaches,” she continues.
Souza encourages Christians to make sure that we are using our time wisely in prayer, worship, the Word and to seize the opportunities that the Lord brings along our pathway. She notes how quick obedience to the Lord is necessary in this new season.
“If God puts something on your heart, you need to jump on it in this season and execute it quickly,” says Souza. “Time is moving fast, and it means that the assignment God is going to be telling you is for the immediate. You will lose your opportunity if you procrastinate. The oil on these assignments that God is giving us in this hour, is on the timing. It is not just on the project; it is on the timing that when you release it immediately, when God is instructing you to do so, that you take immediate action.”
“Revelation and assignments are going to come one after another in this hour; be ready,” she continues. “You’ll find that if you’re faithful not to miss a step…then the Lord will breathe on that project. He will extend your tent pegs greatly. He will enlarge you. He will enlarge you in influence, in power, in authority in every area if you respond quickly and immediately to every prompting that you’re going to be receiving from the Holy Spirit.”
In this new season, take the time to pray and seek the Lord for what He is asking you to do. Regardless of what kinds of obstacles or fears you may have, if you follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit, God will never fail you.
