Total Solar Eclipse Linked to Prophetic Blood Moon, Jewish Devastation
Friday’s solar eclipse and the Passover blood moon have astronomical links to the 1492 expulsion of Jews from Spain.
“The concurrence and rarity of this natural event, together with the times in which we live, indicates the finger of God,” Gidon Ariel tells Breaking News Israel.
Even mainstream media outlets are calling the lineup, including the aurora borealis and supermoon “freaky.”
For Christians, the connection to the blood moon should raise flags.
“The kinds of geo-political and societal events that tend to be associated with the end times by those who believe in such events are also happening, encouraging the idea that Friday could mark a sign of the apocalypse or another catastrophic event,” writes the Independent’s Andrew Griffith.
“Biblicaly, it lines up with Joel (2:31): Even on the menservants and maidservants in those days I will pour out My Spirit. Then I will work wonders in the heavens and the earth—blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awe-inspiring day of the Lord comes.”
A similar alignment occurred in 1492—the year Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue.
In the same month in which their Majesties [Ferdinand and Isabella] issued the edict that all Jews should be driven out of the kingdom and its territories, in the same month they gave me the order to undertake with sufficient men my expedition of discovery to the Indies,” Columbus wrote in his journal.
The deportation of the Jews was part of the Spanish Inquisition, but it begs the question if such a history-defining event could happen now.
“There is no way to be sure that the predictions won’t come true until Friday morning … But something spectacular is certain to happen,” Griffith writes.
To counteract the potential violence against Jews and Jerusalem, Anne Graham Lotz penned a prayer.
“We pray with compulsion for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the whole House of Israel. Your people and the city that bear Your name are surrounded by a vast multitude of hostile, evil men seeking to kill and destroy,” Lotz writes. “Men who behead those who refuse to embrace their evil dogma, who bury alive those who refuse to submit to their will, who crucify those who are identified with Your Son. Your people are under the incessant barrage of enemy missiles and mortars that are destroying farms and families, communities and children. While one ceasefire after another promises peace, there is no lasting peace. Are You not the God who rules over all the nations? Power and might are in Your hand, and no one can withstand You.”
