This Book Is Waking Up the Sleeping Giant

The Bible outlines stories of various prophets, such as Isaiah, Jeremia, and Ezekiel, who were called by God to do ministry in His kingdom. Today, prophecy still exists and Christians carry on the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ. Prophet and author Jennifer LeClaire strives to see the lost come to Christ and equip believers to understand the will and ways of God.

LeClaire is the director of the Awakening House of Prayer in Fort Lauderdale, FL and serves on the leadership team of New Breed Revivalists Network. She also serves as senior editor at Charisma magazine. LeClaire has published 14 books, the latest books out are The Next Great Move of God: An Appeal to Heaven for Spiritual Awakening and Mornings With the Holy Spirit: Listening Daily to the Still, Small Voice of God. LeClaire talked to Gospel Today about The Next Great Move of God.

GT: Tell me a little about yourself and your ministry.

JL: I could probably write a book about my life. I have had a lot of ups and downs, for sure. Gospel Today readers can click here to learn more about me and my testimony. The shorter version of my testimony is that my husband abandoned me with a 2-year-old baby to marry a woman about half his age in another country. Shortly thereafter, I was falsely accused of a crime I didn’t commit and threatened with five years in prison before God vindicated me. I actually got saved in the county jail.

GT: What inspired you to write The Next Great Move of God?

JL: In 2007, the Holy Spirit woke me up after midnight and poured out His heart about a Third Great Awakening, about which you can read more by clicking on this link. So I wrote this book because I was so stirred by the “appeal to heaven” revelation that Dutch Sheets has been preaching. It stirred hope in me at a time when all I was hearing was doom and gloom. I wanted to bring hope to a nation in crisis—a word in due season that would spur people to believe that God is not done with America. He wants to bring the greatest Great Awakening our nation has ever seen. I believe it’s going to happen.

GT: Tell us more about your book.

JL: Before its foundation, America first flew the Appeal to Heaven flag. It was the banner George Washington used on his navy ships to signal that their only hope against British rule and religious persecution was an appeal to heaven. The crusade continues today. Sparked in part by a revelation Dutch Sheets received over the course of twelve years, the nation is being called back to prayer for a Third Great Awakening. Pockets of revival are breaking out across the nation. I’ve seen it with my own eyes and wanted to chronicle this moment in time—this emerging move of God—and equip people for personal revival and forward the concept of transforming revival that impacts cities, states, and nation. The book includes my own insights, as well as in-depth interviews, eye-witness accounts, transcribed speeches and prophetic visions from noted leaders such as Billy Graham, Reinhard Bonnke, the late Steve Hill, Cindy Jacobs, Rick Joyner, Franklin Graham, Greg Laurie, James Goll, Mike Bickle and others. The Next Great Move of God serves as a means to not only fan the fires of revival unto this awakening, but also equip you to sustain it.

GT: How do you think readers can benefit from reading The Next Great Move of God?

JL: We need to wake up to what’s going on in the nation. This book will wake you up. At the same time, we need to maintain hope that God can turn this nation around, because He can and wants to. God is not done with America! Revival begins with you and me. This book will stir you to pray, stir you to press into God for personal awakening, and equip you with the tools you need to do it.

GT: What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

JL: I enjoyed visiting different churches where revival was breaking out, interviewing leaders about revival experiences, and exploring the history of Great Awakenings in our nation and in other nations. It was truly an eye-opening, life-changing experience.
