Homosexual active Mormon and filmmaker Kendall Wilcox talks before marching in a gay pride parade in Salt Lake City, Sunday. More than 300 active Mormons who are not gay and more than 5,000 members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community with their supporters marched in the parade as part of the Utah Pride Festival. According to CBS News, the Mormons wanted to “send a message of love” to Utah’s LGBT community. Organziers said their participation marks the first time such a large group of Mormons have been part of the parade.
