Dems Manipulating Black Voters, Says African-American Bishop
An outspoken bishop and Marine Corp. veteran is accusing Vice President Joe Biden of racial demagoguery—and accusing the Democratic Party of using racial division as a cynical strategy for manipulating black voters.
“Biden’s comment, ‘They’re gonna put y’all back in chains,’ is not a gaffe. This is part of an intentional strategy to frighten black Americans,” argues Bishop E.W. Jackson, president of STAND.
Jackson says the first hint of these fear tactics was a Democrat-sponsored training class by Maya Wiley, president of The Center For Social Inclusion, offered to House members in May. Jackson says the class aimed to teach them how to decipher the “racial code language” conservatives allegedly use to hide their true racism.
During the training, Wiley used this statement by Congressman Eric Cantor, as an example: “I’ve never believed that you go raise taxes on those that are paying in, taking from them, so that you just hand out and give them to someone else.” She called Cantor’s statement “racially coded … right wing rhetoric.”
“In other words, all statements and policies of conservatives are by definition ‘racist.’ Joe Biden’s statement was not a gaffe, but in furtherance of an explicit racial strategy,” Jackson says. “This also demonstrates the low opinion Democrats have of black Americans. They believe we can be manipulated by any racial charge, no matter how outrageous.”
Jackson is alerting black Americans of what he calls “condescending treatment” by liberal elites. If leftists want to find racism, he says, they can look in the mirror to see the paternalistic face of modern racism in America.
“Elitist liberals despise black people. Watch how viciously they treat black conservatives. Today’s leftist Democrats are no better than slave masters of 200 years ago who bragged about how good they treated their ‘negroes,’ as long as they stayed in line and had no crazy ideas of freedom,” Jackson says. “Liberal elitists tolerate black people who ‘stay in their place.’ Step out of line, you will be punished. Justice Clarence Thomas called it ‘a high tech lynching.'”
Do you agree with Jackson?
