This May Make Anti-Immigration Supporters Very Angry
If you’re a criminal, the Trump administration will deal with you, Pastor Ramiro Pena tells The Jim Bakker Show. But that does not mean every undocumented resident in the United States is a criminal who needs to be deported.
“Eventually I think [Donald Trump] is going to get to a very reasonable place regarding the people that are here that are hard-working. What that final plan will be, I don’t know, but I am very hopeful that there will be a way for them to stay and remain productive,” says Pena, who is a member of Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council.
Pena says in addition to pastoring, he works with undocumented immigrants to secure financing for their homes.
“I may make some people mad, but I hope not,” Pena says. The people he’s referring to have an I-10 number from the Internal Revenue Service and pay property and federal taxes as well as state taxes where applicable.
“They are vibrant contributors to society,” Pena says. “They are God-fearing, pro-life, pro-traditional marriage. They are the salt of the earth, the kind of people that are working hard, they have a great work ethic. These are the kind of people we need in our nation.”
