This Spiritual Eclipse in God’s Church Is Blocking Our Revival

Share:

The most recent solar eclipse reveals a powerful prophetic revelation for the church. An eclipse is defined as “an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination.” Some synonyms for the word “eclipse” are: darkening, covering, blocking or blotting out.

There has been an eclipse taking place in the body of Christ, not a solar eclipse but and eclipsing of the revelation of the Son. Rather than leaders allowing their light to shine before men, we have settle for our own political philosophies and self-aggrandizement. We have allowed arguments over politics and race to blind us from the truth of the gospel. The Bible says the God of this world has blinded the minds of those who believe not (see 2 Cor. 4:4). The world has been watching this, and instead of them seeing Jesus, they are seeing the flesh of the church veil the splendor of His majesty.

We must repent.

In the first-century church when one said “I am of Paul,” and another said, “I am of Apollos,” the question was posed, “Who is Paul or Apollos?” (see 1 Cor. 1:12). Have we been so blinded by the things of this world that we are unable to see Him? Many have been blinded by looking at the wrong thing.

The Bible says we are changed into His image from glory to glory (see 2 Cor. 3:18) In other words, we become what we gaze upon. What we look at affects us. What are you looking at? Are you gazing at Him or staring at them? What you focus your eyes upon will affect the way you see everything else.

God is calling the church to truth, repentance and solidarity in this hour. There are those watching who do not have the disciplined to look away. Woe be unto us if we allow our eclipsing of the Son to produce blindness in the next generation.

As we look upon the Son of righteousness, He will arise with healing in His wings for the body of Christ. May the prayer Paul the apostle prayed 2,000 years ago be fulfilled in this generation: “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance among the saints” (Eph. 1:17-18).

The Great Convergence of the Church

I have said before the church that God’s intent for the church is not an eclipse, but rather a convergence. A convergence is defined as the act of converging or the meeting together of different people or things from different directions. As the glory of the Lord is revealed, many shall converge under the leading of the Holy Spirit to release revival and awakening to the nations. Many tribes, tongues and denominations will lay aside their differences and surmount the apparent walls that divide them. When this takes place, the world will see revival like it has never seen before in human history. {eoa}
