The Healing of Two Nations
Republic of Georgia
We believe that every Christian should go on a mission trip. Why? Because there is something miraculous and life-changing that happens when one person shares with another person what God has done in their life. It’s that moment when you look into another person’s eyes and experience a deep spiritual connection as they hear the words of God leave your lips and feel them penetrate their heart the same way they did yours when God spoke them to you.
If you want to experience a true move of God, see your faith reach another level and make an eternal difference in the lives of the people who have suffered much, you have a unique opportunity to fulfill this calling. March 12-20, 2019, you are invited on a strategic mission to the country that is still largely unknown to the world yet has been named by Forbes Magazine among the top must-visit travel destinations. Republic of Georgia is the country of lush vineyards and orchards, snow-capped Caucasus mountains and the palm tree-lined coast of the Black Sea. It is also the country that adopted Christianity in the 4th century. One can see ancient churches and fortes dotting the mountain ridges. In 2008, Russia invaded Republic of Georgia, and the short five-day war caused destruction, left many people homeless, and caused many children to become orphans. Today Georgia is rebuilding itself as a travel destination, but its people, though they know of Jesus, are in desperate need to know Him. Your faith, your personal testimony and your unique ministry calling can give hope, new meaning and the truth to the people who have suffered so much.
Not only will you introduce the Georgian people to the personal relationship with Christ, but you will also have an opportunity to reach the Kurdish minorities who are still largely unreached today and practice a pagan religion worshipping Satan. Very few Bibles are available in the various Kurdish dialects but we have access to the Kurdish Bibles, and you will have a chance to hand a Bible to someone who has never held one before.
One of the important outreaches will be the medical clinic for the Kurdish minorities. Due to extreme poverty, many of them do not have access to medical care. Whether you are a medical professional or an intercessor, your help can be invaluable in this mission.
Armenia
The second part of the mission will take place across the border in Armenia March 20-28.
Armenia is a beautiful little nation that has suffered greatly for its faith at the hands of Muslim and pagan invaders. The famous mountain of Armenia, Mount Ararat, according to Genesis 8:4, is known as the place of the landing of Noah’s Ark. Not surprisingly, Armenia was one of the first countries to adopt Christianity as the national religion. This very sacred symbol of Armenia was taken over by Turkey, and many Armenian people died from the Turkish genocide in the early 1900s. Shortly after Armenia was overtaken by the Communist regime, the people were forbidden to believe in God and things stayed that way for 70 years. You have the opportunity to take the message of hope and light to the Armenian people.
There is no other feeling like it—giving someone the light that brought you out of darkness. You can go just to one of these to nations or both—we just want you to experience a journey that will not only radically change the lives of others but will also deeply impact yours!
