King Solomon is not the wise role model many Christians make him out to be. Brian Houston, global senior pastor of Hillsong Church, says we must be careful to avoid Solomon’s mistakes of compromising God’s commandments and loving the good gifts more than the good Giver. Houston reminds the Hillsong congregation that God is the source of all success, talent and gifting, and that we must not let momentum make us forget that we are ultimately reliant on heaven.
