‘We’re in a Reset’: Where the Church Is in Its End-Times Trajectory
The church is on a trajectory for Jesus’ Second Coming, says prophetic revivalist and minister Tammie Southerland.
The world will see massive temporal judgment, see an enormous outpouring of the Holy Spirit, see the rage of Satan, and the sin of man will be at its highest. Still, ultimately, Jesus Christ is going to return and reign over the earth.
So, where is the church right now in this end-times trajectory? In a conversation with Southerland on her Voice of the Burning Ones podcast, IHOP Atlanta Director Billy Humphrey says we’re in a divine reset. With the coronavirus pandemic keeping most people at home and unable to attend church services in person, Christians are experiencing a huge shift in what their daily spiritual walk looks like.
“You’ve got to nail down things you’re not going back to,” he says of the church. “So, what is it that you’re not going back to? … The easiest thing would be to go right back to doing what we were doing before. And if you do that, guess what you’ve done? You’ve wasted a pandemic, because the Lord has brought us to this moment to slow down, consider our ways, to take inventory and, I think, to get rid of stuff that’s nonessential and to really lean into the things that are critical and essential in this hour. …
“I want to get clarity on the hour that we’re living in. I don’t think that’s dramatic. I think there are biblical signs that speak to us, that when these kinds of things are happening in the earth, the shakings of this nature, that we need to put our ear to the heart of the Lord and hear what He’s saying and hear His heartbeat.”
So, how can the church prepare for this end-times trajectory? Listen to Southerland’s latest episodes to hear more about this important topic.
