Deliverance Minister: Is There Hidden Racism Inside You?
Years ago, when I felt the Lord birthing a new ministry out of me, I never thought I’d have to be delivered from the very thing which He was birthing out of me.
I remember, for months, journaling revelation of what the Lord was downloading to me. I would go in my swimming pool late at night and receive downloads upon downloads. I often said, “I wish I had a waterproof notepad.”
The Lord was calling me to birth a ministry on racial reconciliation. He was calling me to travel the world and break down the walls of racism. It made sense since I was being deeply immersed in the African American community through my speaking engagements. I was ministering to Hispanics and Latinos and was already speaking in different races than my own.
During this time of birthing a ministry to bridge the divide of racism, the Lord had to remove every pocket of racism from me. I remember, I didn’t think I was racist at all, however, when you get down to the nitty-gritty, I had some pockets of racism, and my question is, “Do you have pockets of racism in which you need deliverance?”
Bring deliverance forth in your heart today and allow the Holy Spirit to examine and convict you. As I’ve traveled the world and delivered people from racism and have brought forth reconciliation, I am amazed at the stories I hear and where prejudices occur. These questions have been gained from years of experience and hundreds of deliverance sessions. Please allow the Holy Spirit to convict your soul and resurrect your heart.
Self-evaluation questions:
—Do I feel and think I am better than others?
—Did I have an offense or hurt by someone of another race? Have I been healed? When I see someone of that race does it bring back the hurt or offense? Do I automatically get in defensive mode?
—Am I afraid or cautioned to be on an elevator or alone in a place with a person of a race different than my own?
—When I am in my vehicle and someone of another race drives up alongside me or is walking, do I reach over to lock my doors?
—Would you not be happy or welcoming to have your child marry outside your race?
—Do you have grandchildren who are from multiple races of whom you are embarrassed or prejudiced against?
—Do you feel as if your race has been treated unfairly and always suffers injustices? Even though this could be somewhat true, you have to make sure you don’t take in racism against other races as a result of your feelings or the injustices you have experienced.
—Could you kiss, be intimate with or marry someone of another race, or are your reactions, “No way; never”?
—Ladies, do you hang onto your purse extra tight when around a man of a race different than yours?
—Were you taught racism, or were your parents racist?
—Were you the only race of your kind in your neighborhood growing up?
—Are you prejudice against other nationalities, races and ethnicities because you were hurt, abuse, defiled or offended from a sexual standpoint, business relation or relationship you had with a doctor, sports coach or another person you knew?
It is time we open up and are honest about our feelings and allow the Holy Spirit to search us, convict us and correct us. It is only by examining our soul and not always pointing the finger at others that we will truly be healed and be able to do our part to bridge the divide of racism. {eoa}
