Unique, God-Given Purpose Often Comes From Life’s Dark Days

Everyone wants to know “why”—why they’re alive. What’s their purpose?

These questions are often asked during life’s hardest days. But that’s also when these questions are best answered.

Barry Maracle, author, minister, prophet, podcaster and family man, has a message:

“I know everyone, including you, has come into this world on purpose, with a dream from God,” he said on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Accompanied with your assignment is every resource you will ever need. My passion is to see you tap into your maximum potential and live His fullness, right in the midst of your spheres of influence.”

Maracle’s life purpose revolves around helping everyone else discover their fit.

“My life is about helping people discover who they are,” he said.

It’s a purpose he considers close to God’s heart. After all, God created mankind for fellowship. He wants to spend time with His children, to see them arise and become their best selves—all based on the potential freely given to them through salvation.

Maracle explained: Before God the Father created mankind, He was complete with Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“He dreamed about you. He dreamed about me. He dreamed before time began,” he said. “There was a God dreaming about us and our success in life is to discover ‘the dreamer’ and the specifics of that dream.”

He cites Ephesians 2:10: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we should walk in them.”

Maracle lives to model and to encourage others to tap into the unique dreams God has predestined for their lives through his ministry and through his Wake Up Into Your Dream podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. Within that space, there’s a grace to excel to serve and to impact. The dreams aren’t economically or socially driven. They’re not driven by the natural realm. The dreams are driven by “outcomes,” he said.

The Key to Outcomes

If people are focused on walking out their specific purposes, the details of life are less overwhelming or consuming. Their daily service to others and attitude are not impacted by political shifts or by economic systems of the world, whether they’re climbing or collapsing.

“If Jesus was the Lamb that was slain before the foundations of the earth, that would make Jesus our Savior before He was our Creator,” Maracle said. “That means He had our backs before we had backs to be had. That means He had a solution before there was ever a problem.”

His grandfather, the first Native American to be ordained by the Assemblies of God, used the example of placing an apple seed on a white board and asking his students what they saw.

At first, their answers were about the white board. They would then see a speck and then notice the apple seed. As their visions expanded, they could see a tree and leaves.

“My grandpa would say, ‘No, you see bakeries.’ ‘You see apple pie.’ ‘You see everything that produces after its own kind.'”

The lesson expands to show people how living out their purpose impacts the lives of those around them. When they “find their grace lane,” Maracle said, it’s easy to serve and invest. Rather than focus on leadership, there’s a need for fellowship, which allows people to grow into themselves by learning to follow, honor and refuse offense.

Three days before David was proclaimed king of Israel, he faced his greatest trial. Had he become offended at the men and women who wanted to kill him, he would never have become their king, which changed the course of history for the nation and world.

Moses was 40 years in Egypt, 40 more years with the Midianites and more before God shared that plan that he would lead the nation of Israel out of bondage.

According to Maracle, it’s through the press that the oil of who God made us to be comes to the surface.

“There’s potential on the inside of each and every one of us,” he said. “But when pressure comes like it did to Jesus, in the middle of the wilderness on the 14th day of His fast and He’s at his weakest moment, then the enemy shows up. But Jesus came out full of power. Yes, everything we’re going through is producing a powerful payday.” {eoa}
