Rep. Greene Reveals Her Heart for God on House Floor, Repents of Past Comments

Freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who was removed from her position on two House committees Thursday, says she regrets making comments on certain social issues a few years back and that those remarks are not representative of her true identity as a person and as an American.

What she doesn’t regret, she revealed in her speech before the House, is her love for God. She made it clear that she is a Christ-follower and that she will, as a Congresswoman, continue fight for the things not only God cares about but what Americans care about.

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives Thursday voted to remove Greene from her positions on the Budget and Education committees for comments she made years prior to her election in November. Every House Democrat plus 11 Republicans agreed to kick her off the two committees, and many of her colleagues attacked her for her many social media posts that they say promoted conspiracy theories, CBN News reported.

Harris Uses First Tiebreaker Vote to Back Biden’s $1.9 Trillion Aid Plan

Early Friday, Senate lawmakers voted to approve President Joseph R. Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus package for coronavirus relief in a marathon voting session in which Republicans forced Democrats to take votes on a number of critical issues. After the session—known as a vote-a-rama—that included 141 roll call votes, the Senate adopted the package 51-50, with Vice President Kamala Harris casting her first tie-breaking vote.

The bill will allow the Senate to proceed toward a final bill under the body’s budget reconciliation rules; the House, which had already adopted its plan, will need to vote again today to agree on the Senate’s language. The amount of stimulus money to be received per taxpayer remains uncertain, however.

Budget Chairman Bernie Sanders said during the debate that the adoption of the package moves the country toward assisting those suffering from an “economic collapse.”

44 US Senators Co-Sponsor 20-Week Abortion Ban Bill

Forty-four U.S. senators have reintroduced a critical lifesaving bill, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

This legislation, authored and introduced by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R.-S.C., for the fifth time, acknowledges the scientific reality that a baby in utero at 20 weeks gestation is capable of feeling pain, and therefore entitled to protection under the law.

“I don’t believe abortion, five months into pregnancy, makes us a better nation,” said Graham. “America is at her best when she’s standing up for the least among us, and the sooner we pass this legislation into law, the better. We are on the right side of history.” {eoa}
