How Ray Comfort Changed An Atheist’s Mind in Minutes

Do atheists ever change their minds and embrace the undeniable truth about God’s existence and His personal involvement in our world? The answer is an unequivocal “Yes!” as Trinity Broadcasting Network welcomes evangelist, author and award-winning filmmaker Ray Comfort to TBN’s flagship talk show Praise, Friday, August 18th.

Producer of such viral documentaries as 180 (nearly 5.4 million YouTube views) and Evolution Versus God (almost 3 million YouTube views), Comfort joins TBN’s Matt and Laurie Crouch to introduce another of his award-winning short films, The Atheist Delusion. Pulling back the dark curtain that obscures what is really going on in the minds of those who deny God, this hard-hitting film follows Comfort as he meets up with a number of hardcore atheists, confronting them with the undeniable evidence about God’s existence and leading them to a place of candid—and sometimes uncomfortable —honesty about what they really believe.

Comfort explained that he was prompted to produce The Atheist Delusion after taking a camera to Southern California universities and challenging self-professed atheists through a pointed scientific question that forced many to reconsider their assumptions. “To my astonishment,” recalled Comfort, “those who were open to reason changed their minds about the existence of God in minutes. You could see the light come on in their eyes.”

Among those endorsing The Atheist Delusion is Janet Parshall, host of Moody Radio’s daily talk show In the Market, who called it “absolutely magnificent!” Cultural commentator Matt Barber, a frequent contributor to Fox News and CNN, called the film “the most compelling and comprehensive piece of its kind…. Somehow you managed, in less than an hour, to make the case for the Creator God.”

Matt Crouch noted that Comfort has built a far-reaching reputation for in-depth research and cutting-edge productions that compel viewers to face issues central to following Jesus. “This is one of those films that will stay with you for a long time,” said Crouch. “Whether you consider yourself an absolute atheist or a passionate believer in God, The Atheist Delusion will powerfully impact your thinking and your convictions.”

Don’t miss this special edition of Praise Friday, Aug. 18, at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central, as hosts Matt and Laurie Crouch welcome Ray Comfort and feature the award-winning documentary film The Atheist Delusion—exclusively on TBN.
