Apostate Dallas Church Hosts Drag Show with Devilish Message
A church in Dallas, Texas, hosted a drag show where a performer joked about killing Trump supporters.
The church, called Cathedral of Hope and affiliated with the United Church of Christ, hosted a drag show titled “Celebrating the Art of Drag” to “bless and affirm those who use drag as an art form and affirm our transgender siblings made in the image of God,” its website says.
The show served as “an act of defiance and in response to the numerous bills introduced into the Texas Legislature attacking drag performers and transgender people.”

According to the church’s website, “drag as an art form and transgender as an identity” are “often conflated and politicized, often determined as ‘sin’ by some in Christianity.”
“We do not believe that God makes mistakes,” the church’s senior minister, Reverend Dr. Neil G. Thomas, said in a statement published on the site. “God is beyond gender and invites us to bring our whole selves into the world to make it a better place. Drag has a long history in our community and targeting them will be resisted. As a community of faith, we stand with our drag and transgender community. Using faith language as a mandate for these targeted attacks is a travesty and an infringement of civil liberties.”
“If any of y’all voted for Trump, please don’t tell us,” the drag performer said in a video shared by Texas Family Project.
“He voted for Trump?” the performer adds. “OK, because I will kill him,” the individual jokes.
The performer went on to joke that Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX), who uses a wheelchair, “wouldn’t stand up and fight me.”
