Bold Teen Calls Obama on the Carpet for Ahmed Mohamed’s White House Invitation
One person who doesn’t participate in #IStandWithAhmed is Georgia teen CJ Pearson, who has made yet another viral video calling out the president.
The YouTube personality is speaking it as it is, unafraid of potential backlash, as he addresses one of the top stories sweeping the nation: 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed‘s arrest after bringing a clock—which teachers thought looked like a bomb—to school.
Thousands rushed to the teen’s side via social media, including President Barack Obama.
“Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great,” he tweeted from his @POTUS account.
Pearson is disgusted with Obama’s response, which was retweeted nearly 500,000 times.
“When a Muslim kid builds a clock? Well, come on by. What is this world that you are living in?”
Here’s why Pearson’s upset: “Mr. President, when Kate Steinle was gunned down by an illegal immigrant, you didn’t do anything. You didn’t even call the family. You didn’t invite them to the White House. Is that OK? I don’t think so, Mr. President.
“When cops are being gunned down, you don’t invite their families to the White House. You never did.”
Pearson’s political videos garner thousands of views, sometimes reaching the hundreds of thousands. He’s also commented on the problems with Common Core as well as the trials facing black America.
Pearson’s most recent video has more than 1.7 million views.
