Cameron Victorious Again, Continues to Defend God’s Moral Standard

In some cultural circles, God’s justice is beginning to take hold in America, and Christian activist Kirk Cameron has put himself on the front lines.

Cameron, who has been helping to bring the presence of God to public libraries across the country, sparked yet another victory for believers and conservatives this past week.

The Madison County Public Library System in Huntsville, Alabama, reversed its recent cancellation of a book reading event featuring Cameron and former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines after First Liberty Institute, who represents Cameron and his publisher Brave Books, accused the library of “content discrimination that violates the Constitution.”

The Madison County Library released a statement last Thursday pointing out the event, hosted by the Moms for Liberty organization, was too large for their facilities to accommodate and also citing security concerns.

Brave Books sponsored “See You at the Library” events across the U.S. last Saturday, in support of free speech and to “pray, sing and read books” by the publisher.

First Institute attorney Jeremy Dys’s letter to the Madison County Library System said that the library’s system’s refusal to change course would be seen as “unlawful and unconstitutional religious viewpoint and content discrimination in violation of the Alabama Constitution and the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

“Upon learning that Mr. Cameron and his friend and Brave Books author, Riley Gaines, will be attending in person, you abruptly canceled the event citing ‘security concerns from a potential protest of Mr. Cameron and claiming the event exceeds the library’s capacity.'”

Cameron told CBN’s Faithwire Friday morning that he wouldn’t back down from the fight.

“These libraries should really be grateful that so many parents and children are excited to visit them,” Cameron said. “With e-books and other online reading options, sit-down libraries are becoming irrelevant and obsolete to the younger generation.

Brief Cameron Youssef“Too much fear and woke-ness has made the ALA and these librarians go mad. They are cutting off their nose to spite their face.”

Cameron will continue to fight the good fight and plans to hold many more “See You at the Library” events in the near future.

In his book “Never Give Up,” author Michael Youssef shows you how to hold fast to biblical truth in times of danger and despair. {eoa}
