Cinematic Crusade Reaps Incredible Harvest for the Kingdom

The pandemic has resulted in changes for many ministries, events, churches and individuals through most of 2020. But COVID-19 has also led to opportunities for the gospel to go forth in fresh ways.

When Harvest Crusade made the difficult decision to cancel its in-person crusades scheduled this year at Anaheim’s Angel Stadium and switch to an online, cinematic format titled A Rush of Hope, many people prayed that the change would result in large numbers coming to Christ. And it appears God has answered those prayers in incredible ways. Pastor Greg Laurie, founder of Harvest Crusades, posted on Facebook that “1.8 Million watched ‘A Rush Of Hope’ this last Labor Day weekend and 16,000 made professions of faith to follow Jesus Christ!”

We have a lot of bad news right now, I thought you all could use some good news! 1.8 Million watched “A Rush Of Hope”…

Posted by Greg Laurie on Tuesday, September 8, 2020

Created in partnership with the Erwin Brothers’ Kingdom Story Company, A Rush of Hope included encouraging messages from Laurie as well as outtakes from faith-based films such as I Still Believe and Woodlawn and performances by artists such as Jeremy Camp, for KING & COUNTRY and MercyMe.

Facebook commenters were effusive in their praise for A Rush of Hope. Ruthie Montalvo said, “Rush of Hope was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I watched it several times, and sent links to multiple family members.” Susie Silk wrote, “Pastor Greg … your narration of this event coupled with your authentic testimony made this event so memorable. I watched it more than once over the weekend. Thank you for bringing the word of God to our world. Lifting up all the new believers in prayer that they grow in faith and their relationship with Christ.” And Bob Lockhard wrote, referring to the 16,000 salvations, “I was one of them. Awesome message. Thanks!”

For a limited time, viewers can still check out the crusade at this on-demand link. Please join Charisma Media in praying for God’s continued work through this story of faith and hope. {eoa}
