Disney Star Becomes Latest Hollywood Actor to Dive Into the Occult
In the early 2000s, Raven-Symoné was known for playing a mischievous teen who had “visions” at humorous and oft-inconvenient times on her Disney Channel series, “That’s So Raven.” Now, the celebrity is claiming to have real-life “psychic” moments.
The 37-year-old actor, who also served as a far-left co-host of “The View,” made the comments during a conversation with Keke Palmer on her podcast, “The Best Podcast Ever With Raven and Miranda.”
“Humans have the ability in their brain to tap into energy fields that allow for truth to connect when you know how to translate it correctly,” Raven said. “I can walk into a room and read the room. People might not think that’s psychic, but what that is, is reading energy. And energy is in the psychic plane, because it’s not on a physical, material plane.”
She went on to say she has “visions” just like her character did on her Disney series, which ran from 2003 to 2007.
“I do have moments where … I really will just stare and I will see a scene that is happening, that has happened to me or is going to happen to me in another dimension and I feel it in my body,” the actor claimed. “[T]hey’ll be times when I’m walking and I’ll trip over nothing, but I’ll feel in my body that I’ve been running.”
Raven-Symoné isn’t the only Hollywood actor or performer to venture into the occult in recent years. In 2022, actress Vanessa Hudgens announced that her supernatural infatuation led her to a “spiritual witchcraft journey.”
Rapper Azealia Banks posted on her Instagram account admitting to practicing “brujeria,” the Spanish word for witchcraft. Beyoncé’s former drummer Kimberly Thompson believed that the singer was using “extreme witchcraft” to tap into her phone and control her finances.
Actor and composer Aaron Fullan has been rejected by mainstream Hollywood for his Christian faith and values, but doesn’t regret it.
“This industry is often very anti-Christian depending on what circles you end up being in,” Fullan says. “If you commit to prioritizing God and His Word in your decision-making over worldly success, the adulation of man, you will be faced with some difficult decisions.
While she clarified she can’t see into the future, Raven said her “spirit guides” help her interpret what she’s seeing.
What Does the Bible Say?
Scripture is clear in its warnings against such practices, called necromancy and condemned as “an abomination to the Lord” in Deuteronomy 18:10-12.
“There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.”
