Focus on the Family Rep: Disney’s Blatant Gay Agenda Could Cost the Company Big
Read Time: 2 Minutes 12 Seconds
The director of a popular show produced by Focus on the Family says the Disney Company is “losing touch with a large portion of its traditional audience to stay culturally relevant, and it could end up costing the entertainment icon dearly in the long run.
Adam Holz, director of Focus on the Family’s “Plugged In,” says Disney is specifically catering to the LGBTQ agenda with its sexualized programming, and that includes its newest movie, “Strange World,” which will, for the first time in the company’s history, feature a gay teen romance.
“There are parents saying, ‘Wait a minute, why do we have to import a sexual message into kids’ programming?'” Holz told CBNNews.com. “And so even if we talk beyond this specific LGBT agenda, I think there’s a concern that why does everything have to be sexualized?
“It is possible to just have entertainment that’s innocent, that leaves that for later and doesn’t bring that into everything we’re doing.”
“Strange World” is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
As evidence that many are getting fed up with Disney’s blatant homosexual agenda, a Trafalgar Group National survey recently revealed that nearly 70% of American voters say they are “less likely to do business with Disney due to their push to expose young children to woke sexual ideas.”
The Trafalgar Group is one of America’s most accurate pollsters over the last seven years.
“Disney was absolutely synonymous with trust,” Holz told CBNNews.com. “There is all this other stuff out there, but Disney was OK. And now, this is just another entertainment provider and we don’t trust them. And we don’t want that agenda necessarily preached to our children.”
In addition to “Strange World,” Disney-Pixar released a film in June, “Lightyear,” that featured a lesbian couple, and “Thor: Love and Thunder” in July, which featured a major LGBTQ lead character.
In “Lightyear,” a previously cut scene of two same-sex characters kissing was added back to the film after being cut following the passing of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Law. After it becoming law, Disney CEO Bob Chapek pledged that Disney would become a “better ally” for the LGBTQ community.
CBN News reported that Karey Burke, president of general entertainment for Disney, said she would like to see “many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in Disney movies and series.”
This has led to calls to boycott or cancel Disney. Holz says that while some families are doing so, the bigger picture is an opportunity for people to be more intentional about their entertainment.”
And it isn’t just the LGBTQ agenda that Disney is catering to either. With its release of “Hocus Pocus 2” in early October, Disney has also revealed an agenda to indoctrinate kids into the occult.
“I think an interesting alternative is just rewinding the clock a few years,” Holz told CBN. “I don’t know about you, but we (Focus on the Family) have a cabinet full of movies right on DVD and Blu-Ray.” {eoa}
