GOD TV Humbly Apologizes on Social Media for Criticism of Sean Feucht
A few days after calling evangelist, author and Christian artist Sean Feucht “blasphemous” on social media, GOD TV took to social media once again Thursday to issue an apology to Feucht.
On Sunday, the Christian media network sent out a tweet that criticized Feucht for retweeting a message from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis’ message was: “You gotta be ready for battle. So put on the full armor of God. Take a stand against the Left’s schemes. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. You will face fire from flaming arrows, but the shield of faith will protect.”
GOD TV apparently took exception to Feucht’s actions, saying Feucht and DeSantis “changed the Word of God”—Ephesians 6:11-12—for political purposes. “Perhaps Sean did not fully realize what he was sending out. But this is exactly the opposite of what Paul is communicating in Ephesians 6. In fact, this could be considered blasphemous. … Sadly, many have merged politics with Jesus, when in fact, Jesus transcends politics.”
Ward Simpson, the President and CEO of GOD TV, sent a message out over the company’s Facebook page, saying GOD TV “sincerely regrets any hurt, confused or offense this may have caused.”
Here is the entirety of Simpson’s message:
“Dear GOD TV family and friends,
“Please accept our sincere apology for our post on Sunday Aug 21st which was never intended to be seen as an attack on Sean Feucht or on Governor Ron DeSantis. The intention of our post and the results of the post were certainly not the same, and we sincerely regret any hurt, confusion or offense that this may have caused. We love both Sean Feucht and Governor Ron DeSantis and pray for everyone who is calling America back to God.
“Additionally, this post has resulted in some accusations that we have compromised our mission and have become a woke left-wing network but rest assured, that we at GOD TV understand very well that there is intense spiritual warfare taking place all across America and the world, and recognize the deep political issues that we are fighting against. More importantly, we also recognize that revival and godly repentance is the only solution to America’s apostate condition and pray for righteousness to prevail and for unity in the body of Christ.
“In the meantime, please be assured of our continued commitment to the mandate the Lord gave to us which is Souls, Israel and Revival. (S.I.R). Our mission is to broadcast the good news of Jesus Christ to hearts and homes across the world with the desire to see people from every tribe and nation come to faith in Jesus Christ. We are also called to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, interceding for her and praying for her and sharing the good news of Messiah Yeshua/Jesus to the Jewish people.
“Once again, we sincerely regret any hurt, confusion or offense this post may have caused.”
Yours in Messiah,
Ward Simpson and GOD TV
Feucht responded to Simpson’s apology with this tweet:
“Good on @GODTV for making an apology. Thank you! The debate we had this week is critical, and for some it can be uncomfortable. But I for one am not going to be silent.”

Feucht said in two separate tweets Thursday: “I believe the church needs leaders willing to speak the truth about what the left is seeking to do in our society. I have been asked by many to clarify my thoughts and expound on biblical theology regarding this topic. … I am working on an op-ed that will be coming soon. We need to have a serious debate in public search of the truth.” {eoa}
