Marvin Rosenthal, Builder of the Holy Land Experience, Dies at 86
Marvin Rosenthal, a pastor, author and builder of the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, died on Jan. 8. He was 86.
Rosenthal was the founder of the missionary organization Zion’s Hope, which bought land in Orlando in 1989 to help Rosenthal fulfill his dream of The Holy Land Experience. The Bible-based theme park opened in February 2001.
A Jew of Russian origin, Rosenthal became a Baptist pastor. He organized many trips to Israel to help witness to the Jews.
“Marvin was a man of great integrity,” says Pastor Kenneth Jensen, a friend of Rosenthal. “His son, David, now leads Zion’s Hope, and he is a great man of God as well.”
Rosenthal was the author of many books, including The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church, The Feasts of the Lord, Not Without Design and Iraq: Sadam Hussein and the Prophetic Word. {eoa}
