New TV Show Digs Up Roots of American Christianity
Historian William Federer’s new Faith in History TV program will premier exclusively on the Total Christian Television (TCT) network beginning next week.
The original program uses exhaustive research to make the claim that America is a nation founded on Christian beliefs and biblical principles. “I simply take historical [facts and events] and don’t edit out faith,” Federer told Charisma.
As a nationally known speaker and best-selling author, Federer is committed to presenting his Christ-centered opinions hundreds of times a year in secular media interviews. His American Minute radio feature is broadcast daily nationwide.
Federer said he sees a contradiction in many mainstream Americans who influence culture by exhibiting an abundance of tolerance for all people-groups except Christians. “Ironically, it’s the Christian faith that gave birth to tolerance,” he noted. “Jesus never forced anyone to believe in him.”
But as every last vestige of Judeo-Christian heritage in America seems to be spurned by today’s culture, the calm and articulate Federer said the best way to talk about faith is through history. “Let history say what you can’t,” he said.
