Pastors Go Woke For Kamala
A number of pastors are going woke for Kamala Harris since Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race.
On X, the user “Woke Preacher Clips” created a nearly 7-minute-long video of churches they discovered that have gone all out for Kamala Harris.
“The week after Biden dropped out of the presidential race, I found over 50 churches hyping Kamala Harris during their worship services, clearly using shared talking points,” the post read.
Many of the churches, predominately African American churches, focused on the amount of funding Harris has raised in a quick amount of time, and the number of people she’s been able to get on Zoom calls supporting her.
“These past eight days, we have seen records in fundraising,” one pastor said.

Others talked about how they couldn’t get on the Zoom calls because the limit of people who can be on one call at a time had been reached. They further hyped up their congregations about the 44,000 Black women who were on a call all at once, which raised $2 million. One pastor even asked his congregants how many of them were on the call for Harris.
They applauded the groups of Black men, white women, white men, Asian groups, Latinos, Pacific Islanders and LGBTQ groups who also had calls supporting Kamala Harris. This led up to them hyping up the fact that Melinda Gates gave $37 million to the Harris campaign. After that, they went onto the attack against Trump.
“We put Biden in office, I’m just saying let’s do it again y’all,” another pastor said. “Let’s go ahead and do what we’ve got to do to protect our democracy and everything that’s going on.”
Well-known writer within evangelical circles, David French, also took to writing for the New York Times about why his vote for Kamala Harris is to “save conservatism.” French writes this in part because he feels that Trump is a liar.
“I’m not naïve, I know that politicians have had poor reputations for honesty since Athens. But I have never seen a human being lie with the intensity and sheer volume of Donald Trump,” French writes.
French further attacked “MAGA Christians,” saying they brought “viciousness and intolerance” to the church.
Intolerance. That is the cry of the Left. The cry is that love is love and tolerance is needed. The problem with that assertion is that Jesus did not preach for us to be tolerant. He taught us to pick up our cross and follow Him. He taught us to turn away from sin and wickedness and that it was only through repentance and faith in Him alone that we would find true, everlasting life.
No politician can save us, but we must critically look at the policies being promoted by those who are running for office. Christians especially need to use discernment. Is the continued promotion of telling children that they were created in the wrong body or the murder of innocent, unborn lives truly the kind of society we want to live in? Do we want to see the economy in even more shambles than it is now?

These are the kind of questions we must ponder on. What we choose for our country is about our present and future, not the aesthetic appearances of the candidate. Remember, Christians, we vote based on policy, but we do not look to the candidate to save us; only God can do that.
