Prophetic Minister: Yes, a Child Can Have a Demon

Prophetic minister Kathy DeGraw says that she witnessed children set free from demons, and consequently, they were free from nightmares or rebellion. DeGraw says the parents shouldn’t wonder what they did wrong if their child has a demon; rather, they should be aware of the various entry points for demons.

“Sometimes we’re so happy that we weren’t expecting that pregnancy, but we know it’s a gift from God. And other times, we might know it’s still a gift from God, but maybe we weren’t happy about it. So we spoke words into the spiritual atmosphere that we didn’t want this child, we weren’t happy about having this child. And that can put word curses on the child right there in the womb.”

Other “open doors” for demons include early sexual experiences and certain things they’ve watched on TV, DeGraw says on the “Prophetic Spiritual Warfare” podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. She even suggests that haunted houses can be the issue:

“Sometimes it can be you’re living in a house that hasn’t been spiritually cleaned. Maybe someone died there. Maybe it was a burial ground, or something happened on it. Maybe some perversion happened in that house and it opened an entry point.”

Be observant of your child’s behavior, DeGraw says, so that you can recognize when your child is acting irregularly and be prepared to take action against a demon that may be tormenting the child. She recalls a time when she had to cast out the devil from her daughter’s life.

“I remember one time, my child as a college student was rebellious. And I’m like, ‘God, she needs deliverance.’ And at that time, friends, she didn’t want to be that ‘pastor’s kid.’ And I went, and I declared in her bedroom four times. My husband went with me twice, we anointed it with oil, we took authority over the devil, commanded him out, we called forth her change and my daughter had just a dramatic transformation.”

DeGraw also says that, before we pray over children, we have to ensure they want to be freed—they have to be willing, if they are of the age that they can make decisions. To learn more about deliverance for children, listen to the rest of the episode here. {eoa}
