Sean Feucht: The Righteous Must Seize Cultural Authority
There is no other standard to uphold righteousness, peace and prosperity for a nation outside of the biblical, moral law. Our society is in rebellion against God’s law.
Should we join the rebellion? Or should we live lives that are set apart?
I get labeled things like “MAGA Pastor” or “Christian Nationalist” all the time by the radical left. Those are just attempts to insult me or slander me. But this isn’t about me.
Anyone who speaks the truth threatens their godless, demonic agenda. We cannot shrink away in fear. We must stand for truth. Our call is not to cater to the whims of popular society. This isn’t a political issue—it’s a spiritual one.
Perspective changes when the political issues of the age are properly framed into a spiritual context. The transgender movement? Rebellion against, “male and female He created them.” Homosexuality? Rebellion against, “a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.”
We have seen a clear unveiling of the secular progressive agenda over America: abortion on demand up until the moment of birth, the normalization of pedophilia and child sexualization and the castration of perfectly healthy children in the name of “gender-affirming care.” This the fruit of anti-Christian leaders employing and legislating dark agendas over our nation.
It is not controversial for us to boldly declare that we want Christians to be writing the laws of the land according to the Word of God.
Just a few days ago, a friend and fellow believer, Governor Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma, signed a law banning all procedures that would castrate, mutilate and destroy the bodies of perfectly healthy children in the name of “gender-affirming care.” This was just one week after I gathered together with him and thousands of others on the steps of the Oklahoma Capitol, praying for righteous leadership to reign supreme in the land.
When bold believers take a stand for the biblical, moral law to be applied to our society, things change, and there is “rejoicing in the land.” We will continue to do this from capital to capital all across America.
I won’t allow labels from the woke left like “MAGA pastor” or “Christian Nationalist” deter me from preaching the gospel and fighting for righteousness in America for the future of my children. We as believers cannot shy away from the call, no matter the cost, because as Proverbs 29:2 so clearly describes: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.” {eoa}
