An official statement on the band’s website reads: “On July 25th, our singer and frontman Dan Haseltine underwent a procedure to correct a coronary issue after experiencing a cardiac event. He is doing well and recovering. Dan is grateful for the thoughts and prayers that have gone out on his behalf. We are looking forward to our fall tour, and can’t tell you how excited we are about the 11th studio album we are finishing work on, which will be out early in 2013.”

Keeping his fans posted, Haseltine tweeted: “I’m on a heart healthy diet which I think includes low sodium, low fat and low politics in general.”
