Spirit-Filled Pastor: ‘Young Black Children Will Accelerate in the Spirit’

With everything we see happening in the world right now through the eyes of the media, it’s easy to find ourselves in a position of fear, despair and uncertainty. In the body of Christ, we see so much conflict over how to operate during a pandemic.

There are conflicting opinions about how to move forward and, unfortunately, it’s even caused division in the body.

One Scripture I hold onto in times of trouble is found in 2 Timothy 1:7 (NASB), which states, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline.” Many of us need to be reminded of this Scripture this season as we endure what appears to be the destruction of our nation. Business are closing down, churches are oppressed and limited by the government, and riots have broken out in multiple states, taking a stand against racism but destroying property in the process.

To the natural eye, everything seems to be falling apart as we pay attention to the news reports on television and social media. But Jesus tells us in Scripture that we are not of this world and that we are seated in heavenly places. So what if we stopped looking at the condition of our nation through natural eyes, and asked the Lord to open our eyes in the Spirit so we could see what’s taking place from a heavenly perspective?

In order to rebuild new structures, old structures have to be torn down. Is it possible that God can use all the chaos taking place around us for His glory? The answer is yes! Romans 8:28 tells us that God can use all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Are we not the body of Christ? Are we not His servants? Are we not His children? How can we allow ourselves to be moved by fear in a time when we should be standing in faith?

My wife and I were recently in tears as we discussed the tragedies and spiritual warfare that have plagued our nation this year. The amount of demonic activity taking place this season is astonishing.

But through it all, do we understand what God is doing behind the scenes? Did you know that Amos 3:7 tells us that God does nothing without first revealing His plan to His prophets?

Now I don’t claim to be in the office of a prophet, but I know I can hear the Lord. Sometimes He speaks to me loudly, and this was one of those times. A few days ago, I had a moment with the Lord that was so compelling and powerful that I was weeping because of the vision I was given.

I had a vision of the riots, fires and destruction taking place in cities across America, and then I saw the young black children of those communities turning to God and going deep in prayer for their families and neighborhood. Then the Lord showed me that many of those young children who were drawn to their knees were going to accelerate in the Spirit in the years ahead, and many of them would become young prophets.

The Lord told me that these young black prophets who are rising up would be some of the most prophetically accurate and powerfully anointed voices alive. I saw teenage and young adult males and females of color headlining at church conferences operating in powerfully in prophetic, healing and deliverance ministry. The Lord told me that these young ones who are witnessing the race war we are in today would be voices of unity in the years to come and use their platforms to tear down segregation and racism within the nation, starting with the Christian community.

Anytime I receive a powerful word from the Lord, I ask for confirmation. Our church consists of multiple races, and one of our couples has biracial children. I was told shortly after I received the prophetic word for the launching of young black prophets that their toddler was watching our service livestream, and during worship, he began weeping and declaring that Jesus was holding his hand.

To me this was confirmation that God was up to something, and I’ve been seeing reports of children praying, declaring and encountering the Holy Spirit powerfully during the pandemic and protests.

I can’t wait to see how God moves in the nation in the years to come, and as a church, it’s our job to pray it through and partner with what God is doing!
