Stacey Abrams Claims Fetal Heartbeats ‘Manufactured’ By Misogynists

Stacey Abrams stirred up a hornet’s nest of controversy with her most recent out-of-touch statement.
Taking part in a lecture panel, Abram’s declared onstage that, “There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body in place of her.”

This wildly inaccurate statement has already been bombarded online with evidence proving otherwise. It also begs the question, how are ultrasound machines and technicians faking the fetal heartbeat?
Proof against Abrams argument, posted by the Daily Wire, shows the research that the nonprofit Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) shares regarding the matter:
- The heart is actively beating at six weeks. Between conception and birth, the baby’s heart will beat approximately 54 million times.
- The baby’s average heart rate is 98 BPM. This will rise to 175 BPM by nine weeks gestation.
- The presence of a heartbeat at six to eight weeks gestation correlates with a live birth rate of 98% in normal pregnancies without intervention.
- The brain has divided into three primary sections responsible for sensing and decision-making, moving and tracking objects and vital body functions.
- Eyes, ears and nose start forming.
Relying once again on science, the director of life sciences at CLI, Dr. Tara Sander Lee, explains in detail the error within Abram’s claim:
“While some people falsely claim that a preborn baby at six weeks gestation is just a clump of cells, science demonstrates the baby is already a complex human being. A preborn baby’s heart is actively beating at six weeks and will have already beat nearly 16 million times by 15 weeks. In fact, at six weeks gestation, the baby’s heart rate is about 98 beats per minute, which can be easily detected by ultrasound.”
The reactions online were swift, and often vicious. Many viewed Abrams’ take as the beginning of a conspiracy theory.
Meanwhile, the defenders of abortion stepped in with a predictable gameplan. Rename something to agree with your agenda. Several pro-abortion doctors, such as Jennifer Gunter, changed the word ‘heartbeat’ to ‘fetal pole cardiac activity.’ While jumping through hoops to defend it however, many of the abortion defenders who use this defense seem to forget the definition of cardiac: “relating or pertaining to the heart.”
This rabid fanaticism to the murder of children is explained in the newest book by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. He explains the spiritual forces at work within our society today, affecting the change many Christians are seeing within American culture. {eoa}
