TLC Welcomes Back Duggar Daughters With Open Arms
Duggar daughters Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald are returning to TLC despite the network canceling the family’s reality show, 19 Kids and Counting.
The Seewalds and Dillards are the new stars of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which follows the lives of the sisters as they navigate adulthood and the changes that come with it, according to a statement from the network.
The Duggar family was booted from TLC following revelations oldest son Josh Duggar molested five minors, including Jill and Jessa.
The family was rocked once more when the Ashley Madison data breach leaked that Josh had been cheating on his wife, Anna, through the adulterous site.
Now, the Duggar sisters will tell their story.
“Here I am, you know, the most joyful time in my life, newly married,” Jessa begins in a TLC clip.
“And then,” Jill picks up, “We were devastated.”
“The whole world was shocked,” Jessa continued. “And we couldn’t believe it. You have to wonder, like how did this happen.”
“You’re angry and hurt,” Jill says. “And all those emotions mixed together. I cried a lot of tears, you still do.”
Counting On will chronicle Jessa’s pregnancy and Jill’s move to Central America, much to the pleasure of Duggar fans.
“Can’t wait to see these new families continue to grow!” one person posted on Facebook. “(J)ust cause the family has problems, doesn’t mean that we have to shun them all. Jill, jessa & jinger are my fav girls from the show…lol.”
Another fan posted: “GREAT JOB TLC with bringing back Jill & Jessa! They deserve a show! So excited to FINALLY watch this show! I miss#19kidsandcounting a lot.”
Counting On will premiere in December.
