Watch As Texas Father Goes Viral for Singing Worship Song to NICU Son
Sitting in the neonatal unit in Texas, the video of a dad signing to his newborn son in the hospital has gone viral across social media. Daniel Johnson’s son, Remington Hayze Johnson was born four months early and he was given a 21% chance of survival.
On Dec. 20, two and half months after his son’s birth, Johnson posted a video singing Elevation Worship song “Hallelujah Here Below.” Johnson wrote, “That moment you’re singing a worship song to your NICU baby and he raises his hands in worship.”
Daniel’s wife Emily captured the beautiful moment on camera and went on “Good Morning America” to share the powerful events that happened in the neonatal unit that day.
@fritojohnson89 Remington Hayze Johnson. Proof that God is faithful. Born 4 months early and given a 21% chance of survival. Today we are 2 1/2 months old giving God all the praise He deserves. #worship #nicu #nicubaby #dadsinging #elevationworship ♬ original sound – Daniel Johnson
“This minute the world ‘hallelujah’ comes out of his mouth for him, to extend his arm like that, there’s not an experience like it,” Emily says. She continued in the interview saying, “It really shows you in that moment. God is here…and everything is going to be ok.”
Christian leaders from around the world have shared the post, Sean Feucht posted the video saying, “Worship changes everything!”
Elevation Worship posted the video on Instagram saying, “He is now three and a half months old—God is faithful! Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with us.”
In these three months, the Johnson’s say Remington has progressed exponentially. He went from a full respirator to now being weaned off a nasal cannula. “It’s been an emotional ride and the video definitely showed how I felt because he’s a miracle baby in every sense of the word,” Daniel Johnson told GMA.
The Bible says in Deuteronomy 32:4 says, “He is the Rock; His work is perfect; for all His ways are just. He is a God of faithfulness and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.”
No matter what trial you may be facing today, remember that God is for you so who could be against you? {eoa}
