When God’s Glory Showed Up in a Spiritual (and Physical) War Zone
In the western world, we’re often unaware of the depth of persecution and suffering that believers endure around the world. There are many nations where Christianity is illegal and often severely persecuted even to the point of death.
Not only that, but many believers are stricken with poverty in third world countries where, if Jesus didn’t show up and provide in miraculous ways, then they would have no other options. It’s the Lord who is daily providing, sustaining and lifting their spirits amidst dire and broken circumstances.
The Bible clearing exhorts believers to pray for our suffering brothers and sisters everywhere.
Canon Andrew White pastored a church in the middle of a war zone in the Middle East. In the midst of the war and unfathomable persecution, the believer’s lives were constantly at risk.
Canon White states that “when the conditions of persecution and violence arose, the denominational lines began to disappear, and unity become stronger and stronger among the people of God.” And as darkness manifested in extraordinary ways, the glory of God also manifested in supernatural and miraculous ways.
Angels appeared visibly in the middle of mass worship sessions, many were being raised from the dead, healings of all kinds would break out, the tangible and glorious presence of God crash in, the love of God overflowing through the churches to extend forgiveness to their oppressors and persecutors.
Tune in to the latest episode of Awaken Podcast as Michael Lombardo speaks with Canon Andrew White about his powerful ministry in the war zone. He beautifully calls his home and experience there “the glory zone in the war zone.” Canon White shares story after story about how God showed up in massive ways in the center of tremendous hardship and pain.
