Will You Risk Everything To Bring Jesus Something?

2020 will close out with a rare star in the sky today, Dec. 21, at sunset. This star is being called “The Christmas Star,” and it’s not been seen for 800 years.

The two largest planets in the solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, are aligning. History reveals that this has not happened since 1623. You would have to go back to around March 4, 1226, to find a date when everyone could see this Christmas star. The alignment of these planets is not expected to happen again until March 15, 2080.

The Star of Bethlehem in the days of the wise men brought people to Jesus. We will be experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime event, just like that of the wise men who followed the star through the wilderness.

The wise men were willing to risk everything to bring Jesus something. The same question to the current generation is: Are you willing to risk everything to bring Jesus something?

Will you still bring Jesus your best gift of living a sold-out Christian life in the midst of government overreaches, constitutional violations and threats of shutting down churches? There is an absolute war against the church and its freedom of religion in America.

Matthew 2:9-11 says, “When they heard the king, they departed. And the star which they saw in the east went before them until it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great excitement. And when they came into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary, His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”

Consider the wise men, who were willing to travel hundreds of miles to get to Jesus regardless of the atmosphere around them. No matter the cost, the weather conditions, the distance or the death threats, they were committed to risking everything.

Bringing something to Jesus was more important than the risk of losing everything. They followed a bright light in the midst of darkness known as the Star of Bethlehem.

I was studying the lifestyle of the risky radical wise men when I suddenly heard the Holy Spirit say, “I’m sending another Christmas star this year as a prophetic sign that I’m still looking for wise men that will risk everything to bring Me something.”

Luke 21:25-26 says, “There will be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men fainting from fear and expectation of what is coming on the inhabited earth. For the powers of heaven will be shaken.”

Could it be that we are seeing repeated prophetic signs in our generation, as King Herod desired to have deceptive governmental control over the wise men in hopes of killing Jesus? King Herod was on a mission to stop the true government of God which would be revealed through King Jesus.

The government of our generation appears to be moving as deceptively as King Herod, hoping to kill Christianity and hinder the revealing of King Jesus in the earth.

God is raising up wise men of this generation who can see the prophetic sign of the rare “Christmas star” and who will risk everything to bring Jesus something.

Are you willing to follow the glorious light of Jesus Christ regardless of the atmosphere around you? As 2020 comes to a close, is there a risky wise man or woman inside of you? {eoa}
