How Hungry Are You For Jesus?

Share:

Do you hunger and thirst for righteousness, as the Bible commands? Missionary evangelist Caleb Wampler does daily, but then he says, as a Christ follower, that’s a no-brainer.

Wampler believes Christians must have a constant need and yearning to commune with God if they are to rise to the kingdom assignments to which God has called them. They have a passion to help believers awaken to the wonder and supernatural miracles of the Holy Spirit every day.

Author of the book Hunger, Wampler hosts the Awaken the Wonder Podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network.

“Although we thankfully have access to a precious surplus of Christian resources available to us, they are but a means to draw near to the Lord,” Wampler told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Our most urgent need continues to be actual encounters with the living God.

“You can get before the Lord today, open up His Word, pray and you can seek Him. You can go on YouTube and listen to a good sermon, or you can read a spiritual thought for the day or listen to a podcast like this. But what I’ve found is that God is speaking to us actively. And, we don’t often take the time to listen to Him. … I need Jesus more than anything.

“And that relationship with Him, literally, flows to everything else. I have to know what He is saying. Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing. He only said what the Father is saying. We have to know what He is saying, and that requires listening. So today, it could take five minutes, but sit down on your couch after you put your kids to bed or sit down right next to your bed, wherever it may be, and just say, ‘Jesus, I open my ears to your voice today. Open my eyes to what you’re showing. Speak to me.'”
