Christian Churches Are Being Blacklisted and Put in a ‘Ratings System’

What if simply preaching the Bible could land your church on a government-backed blacklist?

That’s exactly what’s happening in Canada, and it should send shockwaves through every freedom-loving citizen across the globe.

A federally funded group called Rainbow Faith and Freedom has launched what it calls a campaign of “inclusion” and “welcome.” But, as Prophecy News Watch rightly puts it, “this is not about inclusion. This is about control, coercion, and the outright marginalization of Christians who refuse to bow the knee to radical gender ideology.”

Under the guise of tolerance, this group is developing a “rating system” for churches based on how well they conform to LGBTQ+ inclusion standards. Translation: if your church preaches the biblical view of male and female, upholds marriage as between one man and one woman, or calls sexual sin a sin—then you’re getting flagged.

“Let’s call this what it is: ideological blackmail,” the article warns.

What’s worse, Canadian taxpayers are footing the bill.

In 2022, Rainbow Faith and Freedom received $400,000 to “end religious-based discrimination,” and nearly another half-million in 2024 to target faith-based senior care facilities. This is not random—this is calculated. “These are not random fringe grants–this is systematic funding for a targeted campaign to monitor, shame, and ultimately silence biblically faithful churches.”

This isn’t just a cultural conflict—it’s a direct violation of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It’s not about “welcoming” LGBTQ+ individuals; it’s about re-engineering theology, erasing religious convictions, and coercing churches into compliance.

As the article powerfully states: “Bible-believing Christians do not hate anyone. We preach the truth in love. We serve the poor, feed the hungry, house the homeless, and care for the sick.” These very communities now face government-backed defamation simply for standing firm on biblical truths.

The Trudeau government previously attempted to strip churches of their charitable status for being pro-life or for not supporting same-sex adoption, and it remains to be seen whether new Prime Minister Mark Carney will continue down the same road. But the warning is clear, echoing the prophetic insight of theologian Francis Schaeffer: “The most dangerous threat to the church is not from bombs or bullets, but from the quiet, bureaucratic stripping away of our freedom to speak, to serve, and to stand on the Word of God.”

Canadian believers, this is a defining moment. “This is not a drill. This is not a debate about theology or philosophy. This is about whether we are free to worship God without government intimidation.”
