Easter Drag Show Mocks Jesus, Encouraging Children to Join
What once was unthinkable is now being celebrated as entertainment.
Last weekend, a San Francisco-based drag group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held its annual transgender-themed event, stirring outrage among Christians nationwide.
The group, describing itself as an “order of queer and trans nuns,” once again made headlines with its blasphemous celebration titled “No Easter without the T.”

As reported by Fox News, the event included a children’s Easter egg hunt and a drag costume contest that encouraged attendees to come dressed as “Hunky Jesus” and “Foxy Mary.” The promotional poster featured a tattooed, scantily clad “Jesus” surrounded by men in drag. Past winners of the event’s contests have carried names such as “Barbie’s Ken Jesus,” “Pro-Choice Mary” and “Black Woman as God.”
The blatant nature of the mockery is hard to ignore. Libs of TikTok, a social media watchdog, pointed out that although the group admits some portions of the show may be inappropriate for children, “They still encourage children to attend.”
Catholic leaders didn’t hold back their condemnation either. Steve Cortes of Catholic Vote said, “Disgusting. The ruling class abides bigotry, as long as it’s targeted against faithful Christians generally, & Catholics specifically.”

Logan Church, CatholicVote’s political director, told Fox News Digital, “The so-called ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’ have made it their mission to mock Christianity with open hostility, and this blasphemous Easter event is just the latest example. This is not bold, it’s not brave and it’s certainly not art. Its bigotry dressed in costume… Sacrilege is not a religion… Christians are not required to sit silently while our faith is ridiculed.”
Here’s the deeper truth that must be confronted: events like these do not target Islam, Hinduism or Buddhism. You won’t find any drag shows mocking Muhammad. The reason is simple and spiritual: demonic forces behind such mockery know exactly who Jesus Christ is. They mock Him because He alone is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). The enemy does not waste time opposing falsehoods—he targets truth.
What happened in San Francisco isn’t just an attack on culture—it’s a sign of the times.
Scripture warned us about days like these. The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 that “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned unto fables.” That time is now. While the culture celebrates rebellion, God is keeping record.
