Flames Engulfing the Carolinas, Is This a Wake-Up Call for America?
We must pray for North and South Carolina as deadly flames started ravaging the states this weekend.
In South Carolina, 175 wildfires have swept across the area. The governor, Henry McMaster, took to X where he announced a state of emergency.
I have declared a State of Emergency to further support wildfire response efforts across the state and ensure our first responders continue to have the resources they need. A statewide outdoor burning ban remains in effect—violators will be prosecuted. Please stay informed.

According to “USA Today,” the brush fires started in the Carolina Forest, which is west of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. As the fires have grown, residents in close to half a dozen neighborhoods have had to leave their homes, while fires also erupted in North Carolina in the Blue Ridge region near the border to South Carolina.
Fox Carolina News writes that 30% of the fires in this area have been contained, and currently 481 acres continue to burn. Residents in the affected areas have been asked to evacuate.
As these relentless wildfires continue to devastate North and South Carolina, we are reminded of the urgent need for intercession. Just recently, California faced its own outbreak of fires, a stark warning of how swiftly disaster can strike. North Carolina was also devastated by Hurricane Helene’s floodwaters last year. Now, in these difficult times, yet again, the body of Christ must rise in prayer.
We must call on the Lord for protection over those in harm’s way, strength for the firefighters and emergency responders and divine intervention to bring relief. Let us stand in agreement, asking God to calm the flames, safeguard lives and restore what has been lost.
