Is Donald Trump the Modern-Day Nehemiah?
In less than three short weeks, Donald Trump has come into the presidency with full force, dismantling the altars of the Democratic Party and year’s worth of deep state wickedness. He has also been a strong enforcer of border policy and control, focusing for years on the building of the wall along the Mexican-American border.
Could this type of focus on the rebuilding of the nation be similar to that of Nehemiah?
Previously, Charisma Media and Chris Reed discussed how walls around the borders of nations are not immoral in the way that some describe them to be, but rather, they can be used for the protection of people against evil and harm. Being prepared against the enemy out of wisdom is godly, not wrong.
Lance Wallnau also told Charisma how powerful the life of Nehemiah is when you look at his life.
“When you look at Nehemiah, the walls were collapsed all around them and the gates were burned. so what Nehemiah does, he mobilized everybody adjacent to where they already work,” Wallnau says.

Mario Murillo used the example of both King Cyrus and Nehemiah being used for a window of time by God to bring Israel into its destiny.
“Trump isn’t going to save America, but he’s opening the door for the church. He’s provided [an] interference of the persecution of the church,” Murillo says.
Even if you don’t consider Donald Trump himself to be like Nehemiah, it’s quite plausible to see Nehemiah-like traits of those who have long supported him and are working in his new administration. Just as Nehemiah worked to rebuild what was torn down by destruction, men like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are working diligently to bring refreshment to the land through the Department of Government Efficiency.
Prophetic voice Amanda Grace considers Trump’s return to power to be filled with victory and triumph over the voices pulling him down, similar to the voices of Sanballat and Tobiah who were upset with the rebuilding of the walls.
So, with these comparisons to the biblical account, could Donald Trump actually be a modern-day Nehemiah?
In her 2025 prophetic word, Katie Souza says that this would be the time to both battle and build, just as Nehemiah did.
“The enemy is on the [prowl],” she says. “He wants to stop you from rebuilding your city, from building your projects and your visions, and he wants to stop you from building a defensive wall around you and your family and your businesses and your churches and your ministries and your outreaches.”
If 2025 truly is the year for the rise of the Nehemiahs, then perhaps there is no one greater to take on this role than Donald Trump himself.
