JD Vance Prays for Pope Francis: ‘Grant Your Mercy’
During the Feb. 28, 2025, National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, Vice President J.D. Vance offered his prayers for Pope Francis as the 88-year-old pontiff continues to press through ongoing health struggles.

“Almighty and generous God, we thank You for Your charity. Please grant Your mercy upon Pope Francis so he may be restored from sickness,” Vance prayed.
The Pope has been critical of the Trump administration. Vance’s prayer shows true Christian humility and care for Francis’ physical and eternal health beyond their political differences.
