Path to the Ezekiel 38 War: How Do We Get There?
Amir Tsarfati’s latest Mideast update is nothing short of urgent. Speaking from Israel, he paints a dire picture of the situation in Gaza, the hostage crisis and what he sees as a prophetic unfolding of events. Tsarfati emphasizes the failures of the current hostage deal, an emboldened Hamas and President Donald Trump’s stance, which he argues is stronger than that of the Israeli government itself.
The core issue, according to Tsarfati, is that Hamas is leveraging hostage negotiations to manipulate Israel into ending the war and allowing the terror group to remain in power.
“Hamas tried to send a message to the Israeli government and to the public. First of all, to the public, he wanted division. He wanted pressure on the government,” he said. He also noted that Israel’s strategic withdrawal from the Netzarim corridor has given Hamas a psychological victory: “Now Hamas is in a euphoria thinking that the heavy terrorists are out, Israel is completely out of anything that blocks us from going back to north.”

However, the turning point came when Trump responded to the horrific conditions of the released hostages.
“If all of the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock, I think it’s an appropriate time, I would say, cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out,” Trump declared. Tsarfati argues that Trump understands the necessity of permanently removing Hamas and ensuring that they never return to power: “He is not evacuating Israelis. He is not destroying any Israeli home. He is evacuating close to 2 million Palestinians…who want to destroy Israel.”
Beyond the immediate crisis, Tsarfati ties these developments to biblical prophecy, particularly the Ezekiel 38 war. “If anything, if anything in the prophetic timeline, if anything, Israel is now moving fast towards becoming safe, secure with unwalled villages and cities, which is exactly what we need to have at the eve of Ezekiel 38 war.” He explains that before such a war can occur, Israel must feel a sense of security, which he believes will come only after Hamas, Hezbollah, and other hostile forces are neutralized.
The role of the United States is crucial in this prophetic landscape.
According to Tsarfati, America’s decline or withdrawal from global affairs could set the stage for the prophesied conflict. “To be honest with you, in order for the Ezekiel War to start and for an international assault on Israel to happen, I can’t see America being strong.”
Additionally, Tsarfati suggests that the rapture would play a significant role in weakening America: “If you take the believers out of America, what is left in America? What is left? And then suddenly, you realize that America is not mentioned in prophecy.” He believes that the absence of faithful Christians could lead to America’s rapid collapse, leaving Israel vulnerable and setting the stage for the prophesied war.
Tsarfati leaves his audience with a stark warning and a call to action. “I really pray and hope that the Israeli government will be brave enough to finally do what is needed to be done. Pass a law and move forward with that plan.” He believes that history is at an inflection point and that Israel must take decisive action to secure its future.
