Rise of the Demonic: Derek Prince’s Warning in Today’s Culture

We must ask ourselves: Have we ignored the warning signs?

Decades ago, Bible teacher Derek Prince warned of the dangers of seeking supernatural knowledge outside of God. Today, his words ring truer than ever as the occult infiltrates mainstream culture, from Taylor Swift’s music laced with dark spiritual themes to Blizzard Entertainment’s ‘Diablo IV’ online gamin community normalizing demonic imagery, and Hocus Pocus teaching young audiences that witchcraft is harmless fun. The enemy is no longer hiding in the shadows—he is flaunting his influence in broad daylight.

Prince made one thing clear: “Almost any form of supernatural knowledge is very, very dangerous.” He emphasized that there are only two sources of supernatural power—God or Satan. “If it doesn’t come from God, it does come from the devil.” Yet, today’s culture encourages people, particularly young audiences, to explore the dark arts. From Ouija boards to tarot cards, these practices are no longer just lurking in obscure corners of occult bookstores; they are sold in mainstream retailers, promoted on social media and glamorized in entertainment.

The Secret of ‘Manifestation’ Is Occultism and the Worship of Self

The more you listen to celebrities, the more you realize that they really are in bondage to some very strange ideas. The practice of “manifesting” is not a new idea, but its popularity continues as its so-called practitioners continue to proclaim its efficacy in their lives. Celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, Lady Gaga, Tom Holland, Drake and many others claim they have had success using the process of manifestation. So, what is it? Well, Ariana Grande sang about it in her mediocre (I’m being kind) song entitled “Pete Davidson”: “I thought you into my life. Look at my mind. No better place or a time. Look how they align. Universe must have my back.”

So, if you have not already concluded what manifestation is, it is the so-called ability to cosmically attract success in life through positive self-talk, visualization and symbolic action (ie. acting as if something is true). Adherents believe that by thinking positive thoughts, feeling positive emotions, and aligning personal energy with that of the universe, they can “manifest” their dreams.

I am sure you are all aware (or soon will be) that the practice of manifestation is unbiblical. But there is also a deeper layer to manifestation and that is its relationship to another idea – the “law of attraction”. Although this idea dates back to the 1800s, it was popularized by Australian author Rhonda Byrne who misled the world through her film and subsequent book entitled “The Secret”. It has been called the book that changed the world – a title which should only be reserved for the precious and preserved Word of God. She was inspired to write her book at a time when everything in her life had fallen apart physically, emotionally and financially. After her father then died suddenly, her daughter bizarrely suggested she read a 1910 book written by Wallace D. Wattles entitled “The Science of Getting Rich.”

Is Ancient Prophecy Revealing the Final Pope?

Speculation is running wild. Pope Francis’ health is declining, rumors of his resignation are swirling and some believe an ancient prophecy is about to come true.

Could we really be witnessing a moment foretold nearly 900 years ago?

Before we get carried away, let’s take a breath.

Rick Warren Issues Apology: ‘I Wrote Poorly’

Rick Warren has apologized after he had a controversial post on X go viral that suggested Jesus would have been in the middle politically.

The post, which has since been taken off of Warren’s page, read: “They crucified Jesus with two others — one on each side & Jesus in the middle. The guys on both sides were thieves. If you’re looking for the #realJesus, not a caricature disfigured by partisan motivations, you’ll find him in the middle, not on either side.”

Now, Warren is asking the world to accept his apology for the post.

Update: What Happens if All the Red Heifers Are Disqualified?

For those following the red heifer project in Israel, a pressing question has emerged: what happens if all the heifers are disqualified or age out before the ceremony can take place?

Byron Stinson, the man responsible for locating and transporting these rare cattle to Israel, recently provided Charisma News an important update that directly addresses this concern:

“Out of the five, three are still pure and could still be used for the ceremony. Two have started growing a couple of white or black hairs that disqualify them for the ceremony. They’re still very good animals that could produce another red heifer,” Stinson explains.
