Trailing the Nephilim: New Evidence Links Giants to Mysterious Mounds
In a recent interview, filmmaker and researcher L.A. Marzulli sat down with outdoorsman and explorer Brent Hite to discuss what they believe is a long-suppressed history of North America. The two delved into a wide range of topics—from mysterious mound structures and giant skeletons to supernatural encounters—all while challenging the academic status quo.
Ancient Mound Builders
A major focus of the conversation was the mound structures scattered across the United States, especially in Ohio. These earthworks, such as the Octagon Mound and the Great Circle Mound, feature precise geometric designs and astronomical alignments. Marzulli argued these could not have been constructed without advanced knowledge.
“The Octagon Mound is an unequal octagon—it encompasses 50 acres of land,” Marzulli explains. “Whoever did this, it’s advanced geometry. It’s knowledge of the 18-and-a-half-year lunar procession.”

A Forgotten Civilization
Both Marzulli and Hite believe these structures predate Native American cultures and point to a forgotten, possibly European or pre-flood civilization.
“In my opinion, the further you go back, the older the site is, the more complexity there is,” Hite says. “I believe a people came to this country long ago with knowledge and sophistication.”
They also referenced Native American oral traditions that suggest the mounds were already present when their ancestors arrived.
Suppressed Evidence of Giants
The duo highlighted historical accounts, old books, and newspaper clippings that mention the discovery of giant human skeletons in the United States. Marzulli cited President Abraham Lincoln, who once remarked, “The extinct race of giants whose bones fill the mounds of America gazed on Niagara as our eyes do now.”
Hite added, “I’ve got one in my library that talks about seven- and eight-foot skeletons with elongated skulls pulled out of a cave—this was common knowledge in Lincoln’s day.”
Supernatural Phenomena
The interview also took a paranormal turn. Hite recounted disturbing experiences during cave explorations, including hearing howls and voices in unknown languages.
“One of the only times I’ve experienced anything paranormal,” Hite says. “The hair stood up on the back of our necks—we heard a howling sound coming from deep inside the cave, like a wolf, and we haven’t had wolves in that area since the 1920s.”
Marzulli corroborated similar strange weather phenomena and spiritual encounters at sacred sites, including a sudden blizzard that engulfed a team at a mound site, then disappeared as quickly as it came.
A Call for Transparency
Frustrated by what they see as the institutional suppression of evidence, Marzulli announced an upcoming petition aimed at museums—particularly the Smithsonian—that are funded by taxpayer dollars.
“We are going to get the petition up,” he says. “We have a right to know the history of our country. Why are we told we came from Neanderthals when there’s evidence to the contrary?”
He pointed to a massive ax head discovered in a hidden room behind a restaurant as just one example of countless artifacts hidden from public view.
