After Boating Accident, Next 24 Hours Critical for Pastor Bayless Conley
As Charisma News reported yesterday, pastor Bayless Conley is hospitalized and in critical condition. His ministry continues to urge prayer for the Cottonwood Church pastor.
“Last night, Pastor Bayless and two of his friends were in a boating accident. Pastor Bayless underwent surgery which went well, and following surgery he is responsive,” says an update on Conley’s Facebook page.
“According to his doctors the next 24-48 hours are important to his recovery,” the message continues. “Please join us as we pray and trust God for a full and speedy recovery for Pastor Bayless and his friends. Also prayer for comfort to them and their families during this time. Jeremiah 30:17 says, ‘For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord.’”
Conley grew up in Southern California, where, during his teenage years, he became involved in a lifestyle of drug and alcohol abuse. After years of searching for truth and a number of near-death experiences, he found answers and freedom in Jesus when a 12-year-old boy shared God’s message of hope with him in a park one day.
Conley’s background and story have enabled him to reach a diverse audience globally. His television program, Answers With Bayless Conley, reaches more than 200 nations of the world.
Conley and his wife, Janet, are the parents of three grown children and enthusiastic grandparents to grandsons Asher and Sawyer. Together they lead Cottonwood Church in Orange County, Calif., and passionately pursue life, God and family.
