People are livid after a California bakery took an iconic little girl’s birthday party cake and remade it with Ken instead of Barbie.
Freeport Bakery co-owner Marlene Goetzeler says once she posted the picture of the Ken doll in the cake dress, her page dropped dozens of likes.
Some of the bakery’s customers were livid that Ken was covered in a frosting dress and tiara.
“I started getting some negative comments … Then a couple days later I noticed there was a big dip in unlikes. I was kind of surprised,” Goetzeler said.
On the local Fox Facebook page, scores of readers debated on the cake.
“Ken does not belong in a dress,” one person wrote.
