Brave Senator Stands Up to Biden Administration and Speaks Up for Godliness in Culture
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) recently announced that he will introduce a new bill in Congress he hopes will ensure that parents have direct influence over their children’s education in public schools.
The intention of Hawley’s “Parents Bill of Rights” is to protect the right of parents to know what their children are being taught, and which organizations are receiving school contracts. “It will also protect parents’ right to show up and check on their kids and be involved,” Hawley said in a statement from his office.
Hawley says he’s trying to help keep the Biden administration from shutting parents out of their kids’ education.
“Parents aren’t the problem. They are the solution,” Hawley says.
Hawley’s bill comes amid a growing concern surrounding the public school education system in America. Many in the media have claimed that last week’s Republican victory in Virginia’s gubernatorial race—where Glenn Younkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe, shows that voters are willing to challenge the indoctrination of critical race theory and confront the corruption and cover up in the education system.
The Loudon County (Va.) school district and administrators—with the aid of national teachers unions, Biden administration’s Department of Justice and the FBI—have repeatedly attempted to deflect parental involvement at school board meetings.
While Youngkin took up the cause of frustrated parents in a gubernatorial debate prior to the election, his opponent McAuliffe, staunchly defended the status quo and the educational establishment.
“I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach,” McAuliffe said. “I would not let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions.” {eoa}
