Despite Media Blackout, ‘Unplanned’ Twitter Account Gains More Followers Than Planned Parenthood
Despite a media blackout, fans deleted as followers and more Twitter controversy than most people know about, the Unplanned movie surpassed the number of followers of Planned Parenthood.
Fox News reported the Twitter account for the movie Unplanned was temporarily suspended, and users reported they couldn’t follow the account. After the account was reinstated, about 50,000 Twitter followers suddenly disappeared. Twitter officials called it an “error.”
Judd, I followed the @UnplannedMovie account on three separate occasions last night, then went back to check & discovered that I’d somehow “unfollowed” it. On my last attempt, it finally stuck. I don’t know why this happened, but I’m not making it up. There’s no “scam.” https://t.co/TNBo5rnscj

“I think it’s outrageous! I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life,” Ashley Bratcher, who plays Abby Johnson in the film, tells Fox & Friends. “I think it’s incredibly suspicious given that we were suspended, then reinstated, then we lost followers, then we have people saying they can’t follow, then my own account was unfollowed from the movie. I couldn’t even follow my own movie.”

The blackout caught the attention of politicians and celebrities alike.
Big Tech’s attempted censorship of @UnplannedMovie is deeply troubling. And reveling. Why is the Left so afraid of people seeing this powerful story? Regardless of where you fall on abortion, you owe it yourself to see this thought-provoking true story & decide for yourself. https://t.co/sfxsxULMb2

Hey @jack – why aren’t you letting me follow @UnplannedMovie ? I’ve tried eight times to support my friend @AbbyJohnson and @Twitter won’t let me. Others are having the same issue. Please correct this. Thank you.

After a blockbuster weekend for the @UnplannedMovie‘s social media page, their twitter account was mysteriously suspended.
“They don’t want you to see this movie! Make your voices heard and go see the movie this weekend!” @realMikeLindell https://t.co/iXA2vdr95m— FRC (@FRCdc) April 2, 2019
Other people reported problems on YouTube when they tried to make videos discussing the movie.
In an odd coincidence, I made a video today about the suspension of @UnplannedMovie
and the weirdest thing happened.
Youtube didn’t publish the video as scheduled. It kept giving me an unknown error when I tried to manually publish it. https://t.co/OLeAXBZr4x

Despite the agenda to shut down the movie at every turn, the film is flourishing.
Unplanned debuted at No. 4 in the box office over the weekend, raking in more than $6 million from 1,000 theaters.
So good to see movie theaters across the country showing @UnplannedMovie — a deeply inspiring new pro-life film based on the best-selling book by @AbbyJohnson. More & more Americans are embracing the sanctity of life because of powerful stories like this one. #Unplanned
