Did Satan Make Him Do It? Horned Man Attacks Wife With Knife

The man says he blacked out with rage when he thrust a knife at his wife and slashed her body.  

Arizona’s Juan Vargas Rodriguez, aka “The Horned Man,” attacked his wife because he believed she was cheating, according to several reports.  

“She got home late from work and they started to argue. He was jealous and thought she was cheating on him. He told her to sleep in the closet and she said no, she wanted to sleep in her bed,” according to Fox Carolina. 

“When she exited the closet, he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her across the room. He pulled a large serrated knife from his waistband (approximately 8 inches in length) and held it in the air. While he had the knife in the air and his hand on her throat he said, ‘You’re going to die, [expletive]’ and the victim thought he was going to kill her. He swung the knife with a wide straight right arm hook motion towards her.” 

Rodriguez later reportedly told police he “kind of blacked out with rage.” He was arrested on aggravated assault charges. 

Rodriguez’s story is far from the only bizarre attack to take headlines by storm recently.  

Last month, another Arizona man said he killed the family dog in the smoker because “the devil made him do it,” according to reports. 

Patrick Zane Thompson told police “that something bad was going to happened to his family and that ‘the lord’ was going to kill him.”  

AZ Central reports Thompson believed said from his readings of the Bible that a male sacrifice had to be made from recent Bible readings. 

Earlier this year, Jason Dalton shot up a parking lot on an Uber assignment, and claimed the devil in his iPhone made him do it.  

“Dalton acknowledged that he recognized the Uber symbol as being that of the Eastern Star and a devil head popped up on his screen and when he pressed the button on the app, that is when all the problems started,” police wrote, according to WoodTV.

Dalton reportedly said the figure was a “horned cow head or something like that and then it would give you an assignment and it would literally take over your whole body.” 

And in 2014, an American missionary allegedly raped several children at a Kenyan orphanage. 

Matthew Durham told prosecutors a demon inside him named “Luke” abused the children.
