Dutch Sheets Appointed Director of Christ For The Nations Institute
Christ For The Nations Institute (CFNI) is getting some new blood. Dutch Sheets is taking the reigns of the institute Gordon Lindsay founded.
Current CFNI director Adam McCain passed the baton to Sheets. McCain and his wife, Jamie, are answering God’s call to new and expanded ministries even as Sheets and his wife, Ceci, are returning to their CFNI roots.
“I never saw myself in this position,” Sheets told Charisma News. “I believe the Lord has given me vision and ideas and I believe He’s going to help us turn this into a real hub and voice for awakening. That’s my vision.”
(Come back next week for an in-depth exclusive interview with Dutch Sheets about his vision for CFNI.)
CFN President Dennis Lindsay made the announcement on Feb. 22 at a Spiritual Enrichment convocation of faculty and staff. McCain will continue to lead the Institute until the end of the spring term. The Sheets family will begin planning and preparing for their move from Alabama to Texas. Sheets will take the next season to get familiar with the institute and transition into the director of the Institute at the end of the 2012 spring term.
The Sheets are CFNI graduates. Since their graduation in 1979, they have served the Lord in pastoral and prophetic ministry, while also teaching and leading prayer ministries. Dutch Sheets served as senior pastor of Springs Harvest Fellowship in Colorado Springs for many years. He has written 20 significant books on many aspects of Christian life and ministry, including his widely read book, Intercessory Prayer. He travels extensively throughout the United States and internationally teaching the Word of God.
